Welcome to Dr. Amir Ivry for joining our team as a Visiting Lecturer
Amir completed his Ph.D. (direct track) under my supervision in 2023. Amir is currently the Head of Data, Teams CMD, at Microsoft Advanced Technology Labs.
I am happy to announce that Amir is joining our team as a Visiting Lecturer.
His research is focused on hands-free speech communication in noisy, transient, and reverberant environments using deep neural networks. In particular, he develops real-time and low-resource implementations that can be embedded into speech-based hands-free communication platforms. Applications include voice activity detection, residual echo suppression, acoustic echo cancellation, speech enhancement, and acoustic fencing for speech separation.
Congratulations to Ariel Frank on receiving the Excellence in Research Award
Ariel Frank is a Ph.D. student (direct track) who is conducting his research under my supervision. His research field is region-of-interest beamforming.
I congratulate Ariel on receiving a fellowship from the Fellowship Initiative Foundation in recognition of his outstanding research achievements.
Congratulations to Ben Dgani for successfully passing his final MSc exam
Excited to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences
I’m excited to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (deemed university) in India.
Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences (KITS) was established in 1986 and has the highest accreditation A++ from National Assessment and Accreditation (NAAC) in India. With more than 8000 students, 452 faculty, and 18 academic departments, KITS’s vision is to address the problems of humanity through technical education, research, and development.
